thoughts in hand

Us
within a carousel
of swimmers and joggers
of low surf castle builders
of gulls and lost kelp
of sky and sand and ocean
and of all their speeches—
even then
sometimes
it’s just Us

Three Sisters

a tribe of Goblins
born from lovers Rain and Wind
consum’d by Silence

Pu

Kahuna’s pure chords
Heaven’s break of Day invok’d
so smiles Melia

(Back from 1 month Staycation with best friend from Australia.  Relinquishing the heavy party favors for normalcy.  Peace, everyone.)

endanger’d species

th’ ancients spoke of life
outside the cave—
when sounds were emit’d
from lips
till lips became fingertips
and fingertips thoughts—
when emojis became the light
in darkness
and darkness made us fear the light—
while under the eyes
of night and day
were creatures on the loose
not so intelligent
but somehow more content
within that breath of fresh air—
no longer ours

Life Finds a Way

our footsteps—
thoughts in a fog
of ice and flame
thrashing land’s breath—
creating new seed
from featherless ashes—
new tributaries of thirsty veins
rousing Terra—
rescuing her from her dark dream
of compost and mulch
to fructify a new tomorrow

Fresh as a Rose

how refreshing
those times when the world
offroads thru another prism door
to refract a breath of newness
engendering feelings
a child sometimes feels—
and for that twinkling
I am a kid again

always Today

                               should Tomorrow waylay thee
                               with whispers from my Heart
                               ‘tis but an Echo
                               adrift upon our mystic orb
                               from Night’s other side
                               ne’er to be lost

point of view

                                           Heaven’s reflection
                                           examining creation
                                           through different light

Eclipse Siam

                                    o’er Lavapura
sips Rahu a cup of mortality
under eyes of Sun and Moon
                                    to ears of Vishnu—
                                    tho’ behead’d guilty demon
                                    his jaws still immortal chase
                                    and feed upon the tattlers—
                                    soon escapees from his fangs
                                    hamper’d slowly in their wake
till their slip off Maha’s doorstep
                                    renders the full smile
                                    of Day

blind dreams

all beyond this flesh of breath
                                    do gaze
                                    and invade
                                    thy fleece
                                    thy savor
                                    thy redolence
                                    thy song
                                    inspiring pillow’d imagination
                                    with trepidation
                                    with amenity
                                    within night eternal

station of acquaintance

                                       spirits transforming their cloth
                                       yet unable to mask memories
                                       that dwell at the crossroads
                                       of moment—
                                       and sometimes
                                       those of modest dress
                                       be the fondest
                                       with a will for immortality

Breath Giver

            every eon arous’d I become
            by a stranger’s sensual embrace
till I cry aloud a joyful cry
            and spew forth my eggs
            of liquid fire and ash
            to mingle with the suitors
of land and sky and sea
that my evolving world might endure
            not only to join Time
but Her for some to really feel
